When his parents disappear, Slavik, a human boy wizard from the planet Krasny, must save them. He follows clues that lead him to Earth, where he meets Rita, an apprentice psychic. Meanwhile, the evil Council of Krasny sends its Elite forces to Earth with a magic bomb powerful enough to teleport entire planets, hoping to blackmail Earth into submission. Slavik and Rita must rescue his parents and work with their allies to save both planets. Can they decode the bomb and find the right spell in time?

In my own assertion the cover is a strong choice because it clearly reflects the title’s mix of friendship and sci-fi adventure. The two kids represent loyalty and connection, while the glowing light, alien sky, and hooded figures highlight the mystery and otherworldly conflict. Combined with the bold golden title, the design is eye-catching and perfectly conveys a story about humans and aliens crossing paths in a dramatic, adventurous way.
